Answers to some of the frequently asked questions:

 

I passed with U/R in Ist Semester 2009 (Odd). What does it mean?

 

U/R means pass with grace marks provision as per Rule(12) of Diploma Examination (Six Semester) of S.B.T.E., Bihar, Patna.

 

I got promotion with carry in one subject (00101 papers). May I continue 2nd Semester class?

 

Yes. You are allowed to pursue the higher study in 2nd Semester.

 

I got promotion with carry in two subjects (00101, 00103 papers) in 1st Semester Exam 2009 (Odd). May I continue 2nd Semester class?

 

Yes. You are allowed to pursue higher study in 2nd Semester.

 

When I can clear the carry paper/s of 1st Semester Exam 2009 (Odd)?

 

The carry papers of Odd Semester examination will be cleared in next Odd Semester examination compartmentally, that is, along with 3rd Semester examination 2010 (Odd).

 

I failed in 1st Semester exam 2009 (Odd). Am I eligible for attending class in 2nd Semester?

 

No. You can reappear as a private candidate with previous Sessional marks (if not failed in Sessional) in next 1st Semester Exam 2010 (Odd).

 

Is there any Supplementary examination of 1st Semester?

 

No. Provision of Supplementary examination is available only for final year students. i.e., in 5th and 6th Semester examination only.

 

How can I seek clarification regarding board matter?

 

Usually, all the student’s issue related to board (Exam, Curriculum etc.) shall be resolved at concerned Institutional level. The Institution may seek information from board (if required). However in special case student may write thru e-mail or Feedback at www.sbtebihar.gov.in.
 

How can one apply for scrutiny of marks?

 

Application for scrutiny of the result in any subject or subjects at the Board Examination shall be submitted along with the fee of Rs. 300/- only for each subject through the Principal of the Institution. No such application will be accepted unless it reaches the office of the Board within one month of the declaration of the result of that particular exam.
 

Direct interaction of students with the Board is prohibited.
